Out that far your options boil down to:

Get to your destination as fast as you can (monotonous and very boring, but if you're efficient and can hold it together you can really make lots of jumps in a short time...)

Gather some Exploration data...use the FSS and DSS to scan for and map high value bodies, this can lead to a rather LARGE amount of credits...

Land on bodies, get first footfall, and collect genetic samples of salad, sorry, exo-plants...this can lead to a HUGE amount of credits, an Artemis suit is required.

Gathering surface materials in the Scarab SRV. (Scorpion SRV has no wave scanner)

Ring/Asteroid Mining, if you have the equipment..

Sightseeing...per @GroG79 post above...

I may have missed something.

Well, whatever route you plot, I'd say the most important thing is to share your exploration data with the community databanks. Upload journals or use one of the data network tools. Flyae Drye IP-G c27-13, for example, is not listed in the EDSM. "EDSM first discovery" is the one that counts. :)

(For me, it also provides a handy interface to nearby Galactic Mapping Project / Exploration Catalog POIs, for when I don't know where to go)

Share nothing with nobody. Crowd sourced data undermines the fog of war that this game relies on in hiding the emptiness of 400 billion systems. Protect the mystery,
