It's Friday - Give me a laugh

My best laugh-out-loud moment will probably seem quite boring. I was taking off and followed an Anaconda to the letter box. I was still fairly new to the game and was erroneously under the impression I could squeeze by him (thankfully I had not reached my "always boost out of the station" phase by that point). As I got up close on his port side I realised I wasn't going to make it and jammed on the brakes. I watched him stop right at the letterbox and gently, gently line up before slowly, slowly creeping forward again. Then he pitched up 90 degrees inside the letterbox and sprayed himself into space.

I just sat there giggling to myself in disbelief before I remembered there is a timer when exiting the station.

Another time I launched and there was a type 9 coming in. Basically the same mistaken belief I could squeeze past but this is well into my "always boost out" phase. I collided with him right inside the letterbox (shields held), got trapped between him and the wall and his ship literally dragged me back inside. 20 second trespass warning. I frantically boosted back towards the now empty letterbox, bounced off the top (shields mercifully held again) and went spinning of into space.

The morale of the story? I am too stupid to learn and I STILL boost out every time :D

Hmm... Maybe when I bounty scan poor miners at extraction sites, they freak out and, trying to run away, crash on the very asteroid they were mining, and blow themselves up. It even happens to Anacondas!

Yesterday a NPC Imperial Clipper tried to land on my assigned pad. I had to shift him gently away with my Larkon. When I took off again it was gone. Probably destroyed because of loitering.

I had docked uneventfully at some station or another. I carried out my business with the Bulletin board and the supermarket. Decided on where I was next flying off to, and engaged the launch sequence...

Slowly, the lift descended into the hanger, all was calm. once the lift was at the bottom it started to spin...

Holy Camoly! Hanging on the side of the hanger wall was an NPC's Sidewinder. Just sitting there, like some giant spider. As if nothing was wrong.
When I first saw it, I jumped so badly that Ship's Cat scurried off to the cargo hold! He's only just come back to the cabin. Had I been able to shoot, I imagine I would unleashed hell at the sidewinder and been instantly destroyed by the stations lasers.

It properly scared the c*** out of me!

I recall getting interdicted while the hyper-drive was preparing to jump. The countdown did not stop, and i panicked as i entered hyperspace while the ship was helplessly rotating, pointing in all directions. The hyperjump went fine, and i arrived at the locked destination with no side effects.
I bet the interdicting commander's brain tried to divide by zero just after this freak incident (wasn't a npc encounter, afair) :D

So there I was in that asteroid field.

Since shields are for losers, I equipped my hauler without, making room for my refinery. It worked quite well in the Sidey, therefore... why not in a Hauler?

So I was looking for my first asteroid to mine. Edging closer, and closer, and closer. That should be close enough. Now fire up those lasers. Oh, that was the Afterburner... nOOOOOOOooooooooo....., turn turn turn...

SPLAT!

Suffice to say that keeping enough insurance money is for losers as well.

Drink driving - decided to get in an extra session in the evening after consuming a reasonable quantity of drink. Further decided that a fast exit from the station was entirely feasible, so applied full throttle and boost ... and pancaked into the wall about 20m below the slot. Good job they don't require you to fill out a claim form with the insurance!
