R.I.P. to both legends of comedy

While I appreciate the argument that TV celebs shouldn't be included in the station naming memorials, this is someone that was partially responsible for several jokes that are now ingrained in the public consciousness and as many have said was required viewing as a kid. That's my argument anyway.

Certainly no more deserving than Kilmister Orbital or Bowie landing or any other tribute that needs to be added to the game.

I once was at a branch of Waitrose to resolve a problem with one of their tills (I am a field service engineer, EPoS), when I heard a familiar voice. Looking around, I saw Ronnie Corbett discussing a problem he had with something he had previously bought. He was calm, considerate, and (according to the staff) a lovely person to deal with, and a customer they treasured. I initially was tempted to go over and say hello (and thank him for all the pleasure he had given me), but I then went with the attitude that, at that moment, he was Mr Corbett, a customer of Waitrose, and not Ronnie Corbett, professional comedian.

RIP, Ronnie Corbett, and thank you for all the times you have made us laugh and smile. This is the greatest gift you have given us; laughter.

A very funny man that I got to meet once at the Royal Albert Hall when he presented the Apricot F1 computer. I remember him asking us what on Earth we would do with 10 Mb of space in a PC!

With the sad news of the remaining Ron passing... Is there a star system with 4 luminous bodies in that can be made to host "Corbett station"?

I'm an absolute MASSIVE fan of the Two Ronnies, we have their complete collection on DVD (which is over 20 dvd's iirc) the stuff is just incredibly funny and their songs well.. just fantastic. It's a huge loss losing Ronnie, very sad indeed :'(

However.. I think you are wasting your time asking for a name, I mean Frontier totally shunned Bowie :'( so what chance does poor Ronnie have?
