Quite frankly, it might as well be 40 mil. It's far too expensive for someone who isn't trading regularly to afford.
It would take a month of running rare routes in my Asp to get enough to pay for the Vulture, not to mention the upgrades for it. Sure, I have 28mil right now, so I could technically buy it, but with upgrades that price tag is going to be significantly more. I can't believe they're adding in
more expensive ships. I thought that hopefully, maybe, they'd keep it sane so the Commanders that don't enjoy trading would have something fun to spend our money on, and now I just feel like an idiot.
I've been flying my Viper for a long time, and while I love it dearly, I want to try other ships. Sure, I got the Asp, but I hate the damnable thing... But I'm not going to sell it, because that ship makes my money! I feel like I'm stuck. Just spinning my wheels for all eternity, trying to get ahead but only getting laughed at by the people who already have everything with taunts of 'But you don't need every ship' and 'If you aren't willing to devout your life to it, this isn't the game for you' while they sneer behind their computer screens and laugh at my pleb casual behind. 'Get good, scrub', 'Just kill some elite anacondas. What? You can't do it in a Viper? Stop being terrible', 'Just do rare runs, you pleb. If you don't like it, then don't play'.
I was hoping this was the patch that was going to shake things up. To finally give me the reasonably priced combat ships that I want. A patch that I can finally convince my friends that this game isn't just an overly long grindfest. Now I just see that it's just more of the same. Those whom already have the money get to have the fun, while I'm back to running rares until my eyes bleed.
