If i buy the £40 with horizon dlc on my primary account, will my lad have access to the horizon dlc on his account sharing the same ps4?
he should have full access, i have a couple of games i bought with my first account, that i can play with my new account no problem. its only the free monthly games where if you psn+ runs out you lose the ability to play them on other accounts.
so he should be okay to play elite dangerous no problem
I know he will be able to play the main game,it's the dlc i'm asking about.
if he's locked out of the dlc.i will just buy the game,if he can then i'll pre order the game with horizon dlc.
I believe that as long as your PS4 is set up as the primary device, any account set up on it will have access to whatever is installed on it. I thought for sure I've read this somewhere, but I don't have a link to give you to verify this.
I agree some games to lock the DLC to a specific account, but if the xbox version is anything to go on, i have many accounts on my xbox and all can see the horizons dlc.
I'm confident the ps4 will be the same.
ok ty.
There are some games that does lock you out of the dlc only primary account have access.
For instance Elder scrolls online.I bought all the dlc in one go only to find out my lad was not able to have access to the dlc.If i knew that i would have not bought them tbh.
I hope elite does not take the same route.
Really? What kind of DLC are you talking about? I can see them (ESO) limiting cosmetics, pets, etc. to one account, but do they limit the big DLCs (regions)? Also, does your son have is on PSN Plus account? That might override yours..
I'm tempted to experiment with my ESO and a new account, you have me curious now!
I think with eso anything you buy with with crowns on their ingame store is limited to that account
Horizons if similar to the xbox version Deffo can be shared between profiles on the same console but any ship skins, bobbleheads etc bought from frontiers ingame store won't be.

Normally play on PC but I have a commander on XB1, the performance it horrible so if it's any better on PS4 I'd be considering transferring my wealth over. Not that it's very much lol.
If it's a steady 30fps i don't mind.
it will still be hard for me to adjust though as i'm used to a solid 60fps maxed out graphics on my pc.
