It's time we got some new sizes for experimentals

So it seems like the thargoids came in with a bang and now everyone I know is back at the hazrez. Everyone seems to have the same complaint. The loadout options are boring and restrictive. It seems every effort is being made to make these fights as tedious as possible. No class 1, no class 4, no gimbals, no lasers, no frags, etc. Even the new guardian weapons, while being pretty awesome only come in class 2. The 4 weapon limit has no justification I can think of besides that it might make the fights easier for for ships with 5+ hardpoints. You would think someone would have figured out caustic resistant hull after 6 months too...
Seriously, send those engineers some interns or something. The initial awe is over, let us stomp some bugs now. (Then throw a goid capital ship at us wen we get too comfortable)[big grin]

Tedious...

I've been told on this very forum, not to always be looking for fun, that this is ELITE, where suffering leads to success. And listening to extremely creepy background sounds in stations.

CGs, PowerPlay grinding, rank grinding, now also engineering brings heavy grinding for everyone, where before 3.0, the only people who had to really grind materials where unicorn hunters, trying to beat RNG.

Everyone else could get by with one to three rolls in most cases and have a decent 70-80% result

Before 3.0 dropped, I threw a bunch of rank 5 mods on various gear and figured I'll take whatever the first roll gives me, and I was positively impressed!
Most of them were really good, some even maxed out or almost maxed out on first shot...

And thats why the RNG was addressed. I have done hundreds upon hundreds of g5 rolls pre-3.0 and I wasnt this lucky. Some things I gave up on because the mats were so rare and when I collected say 50 untypical shield scans (days of work) and still end up with a naff modification. Post 3.0 I now have an acceptable shield generator with a couple of hours work.
