I've got a confession to make...

When I got my new graphics card back in February, one of the first things I did was land in the center of a massive crater to see how much performance improved.

I then proceeded to spend the next 5 hours driving from the center of said crater to the far edge of it, just so I could turn around and look out at what I had driven across.

I'm really enjoying frapping about on planets in the SRV. Zooming about, shooting things, having a blast on different G planets.
It's the first time I've had a go at this properly because of the amount of exploration I've done previously.

As you were ;)

You've been reported to the proper authorities!

I like using little bumps in the landscape to get my SRV airborn and then fly/float in the air for as long as possible down a slope at maximum speed.
You can reach cool speeds that way.

It makes me want a skimmer. (anybody reading this FD?)

I totally agree! The SVR is great!

I just wish I could use it in VR for longer periods of time before the onset of dramatic and violent illness. Not FDev's fault, not Oculus' fault...I get carsick.

BUT ITS WORTH IT!

I get absolutely nothing done when I launch an SRV. As soon as I do it becomes all about Buggy. I have run out of fuel..... I didn't even know it had fuel. All you have to do is go too fast, and I'm gone.

Last time I decided to go into a crater it looked nice and smooth from a few 100 meters up but when I got to the ridge in my SRV it turned out to be nothing but large boulder after large boulder! Going more than a few km/s was a recipe for SRV destruction.

.. I can neither confirm nor deny that jumping craters and pulling 'stunts' in the srv is great fun. Because this is serious business and we'll have none of that kickflip, 360, tail stall and powerslide shenanigans, thank you very much!. ;)

I love driving the SRV a lot, especially in VR. Nothing beats jumping a 2 kilometer deep canyon or racing down a crater wall... And sometimes its nice to stop and enjoy the view and music. SRV gameplay rocks.

I like spending ages driving around in the SRV, recalling my ship and then retracing my SRV tracks in the ship at low altitude.
