My Keelback generally has either a single class2 or class3 slot free. Currently I stick an SCB in there, but would I be better off with HRP or MRP?
Frankly NPCs aren't a problem regardless, and a class3 SCB has been more than enough to prevent them from even scratching my hull. But I suspect MRPs might prevent my powerplant from getting shot out in the first railgun volley.![]()

You have a slot FREE in a KB??? I'm usually thinking of what I can do without when I fit out my KB's!
For me though a slot 2-3 is only good for HRP. The SCB's I find aren't really that useful and the KB got the trader hull buff so it's quite a decent tank. But TBH IMO I'd use that slot for more utility for whatever the task is at hand.
Dedicated cargo slot, dedicated fighter bay slot, dedicated shield slot, dedicated SRV slot. That leaves a "flexible" class2 and class3 depending on what I'm up to.And yeah often it's utility stuff, but if I'm going out fighting it's nice to have a defensive measure or two.
