"I've got some important information for you..."

Is it me, or have the people who try to convince you to drop a mission all given up now? I've not had one since 1.6 dropped. Maybe they finally got the hint after the five thousandth time of ignoring them :)

It's a bit of shame, I had started dropping in on them just to blast them and the last few weeks up till the patch they had started offering decent alternatives for a change. I had several that offered comparable $$ for a closer destination as opposed to the usual "We'll give you pocket change to stop what you are doing"

They were replaced by a system that simply has a chance to modify your mission.

When it worked properly, it was a great addition to the game..ie I was doing an assassination mission (225k payout) in 2.0 when I decided to drop down expecting the usual pathetic counter-offer & was actually offered 3 times the reward..this happened about 4-5 times but unfortunately, more often it was less than the original mission!

it was a also a very valid way to nuke a minor factions influence ... take a mission from them, and then take the alternative offer. i haven't seen one of those in 2.1.

It was talked about in one of the streams. Mission-changing parameters are gone.
Instead, we now have only a chance for mission to be "spiced" by added bonus and whatnot.

That's sad. Because you could take missions before which goals were working against the faction you are / were supporting, to just switch sides and betray those who were scheming. Sometimes at least. I guess those guys just got smarter now because of *peep* like me :p

Yep, we used it for BGS, too. Oh well. At least the missions now yield higher changes to influence, if you choose the right ones. It's too soon to be certain, but I think it kind of evens out.
