I've lost 8.5 million because of graphic issues

Ok I got killed. Hey it happens right?

The insurance screen glitched, so I couldn't read anything.

As a result my cobra, upgraded with advanced system scanner, rating A systems for everything including frameshift, loaded out with expensive weapons, upgraded hull amrour, shield generators, etc etc... Lets just say this.

I put 8.5 million credits into my cobra.

Thanks to this graphical glitch, I've lost all of that and am now crusing the galaxy is a stock combra worth about 300k

It's this kind of annoying bollox that frustrates players into rage quitting and giving this game god aweful reviews.

8.5 million credits, that was ALOT of grinding to lose.

1) File a ticket
2) You can close the game on the insurance screen and you'll get it again next time you play

Gotta ask.. you're an Explorer, why the upgraded hull and weapons ? The Cobra is fast enough to run from, basicly everything in this game.

it doesn't make sense from an exploration standpoint, you want the most amount of Lightyears so you have the best fuel efficiency for the FSD since your ship is much lighter, but it's none of my business..

No fun making money unless you spend it on shiny new toys... I think my ASP is worth close to 40 Mil. 6 beam lasers, military grade armor, and can still jump 23LY fully loaded. Why? Why not?

I've gotta agree... I refit my ASP as and when I feel like doing something different. Right now i'm trading again, so bye bye extra heavy hull, and shield charges... cya later field maintenance kit.. Hello extra cargo bays.

I can boost every few seconds, tearing me through space at 350.. I can get away from anything that has power diverted away from weapons, well before my shields are down.. Plus CHAFF sorts out gimbled, rocket, and turreted weps.

The ASP got the horsepowers to move all that, stuff around.. Cobra dosnt.

It's not worth the cash if it gets you killed. that's a big heavy ship for the purpose of exploring. all the military composite in the world isn't going to save you from a nimble pirate. some upgrades are ok as they make your ship lighter but others are just brutal for weight penalties.
i'm in a sidewinder with only upgraded alloy bulkheads (other armours are too heavy), A2 thrusters, A1 power distributor, A2 FSD and D1 power plant (the D1 is really light). the ship manoeuvers well enough against gimballed weapons and I have a chaff dispenser for missiles. and no weapons or cargo racks onboard so I keep it light as possible (it makes a difference). I get two very close boosts and while I can't completely outrun anything the nimbleness of it keeps a lot of hits missing long enough for me get out of it.
that Cobra in the OP is just a sitting duck. a TOUGH duck, but a duck all the same.

other than not making a sensible insurance provision i cant see how one can lose 8.5m in one hit... aah i see, clicked wrong button on insurance screen... that would be painful. a ticket and those nice ED people might sort it out!

There are those that just want all the kit despite the drawbacks. Personally I bought my Asp as soon as I could. Slowly upgrading it for my needs

but if you click the wrong button on the insurance screen you are still going to lose it all however cautious you are... i think that is what the OP said he did

He died, the screen was garbled, he still clicked anyway, lost everything.

Did you take a screen shot of the glitched screen?
Have you posted a ticket with the glitched screenshot attached?

I also had the same graphically "messed up" panels before - fortunately it came on in other situations (docking, commodity market, etc.) so there was no imminent danger of loosing anything badly.
I hope you get your ship back - fire a ticket if you haven't done it already and see what happens.
These glitches are problems because the ingame displays are generating decisive situations for players most of the time and not just decorations.
