Jackpot Mining!

Persistence certainly pays!

After weeks of searching the cosmos with my space buddy for a suitable mining area for the top 4 metals in the commodities market, I found a rich yet CPU and Graphics demanding asteroid belt around a star.

My buddy thought it would be a laugh if he shot me with his mining laser only to find the system authority vessels were right on his tale for doing such a bad thing. So he left the system to pay off his debt and get rid of his wanted status for simply trying to mine my ship and he stumbled across a system, with a planet that just happened to have metallic rings in pristine condition. That good that they don't even have extraction points on them.

So, as soon as I found out, I jumped in and started to mine. I think the second asteroid I mined had 60% platinum per chunk of rock! Jackpot and it took me 15 minutes to fill up my adder and cash in 120k!

Now all I have in my adder is cargo space, refinery and a laser. Happy Days!

Nice work.

Remember also even with extraction point mining locations, just drop into the rings AWAY from the extraction point. You will have the asteroid field to yourself and no pirates to deal with.

Did you change the size of your refinery? Sometimes it is caused by memory of what was in the hopper before - log out safely but with your cargo open and then back in and see if that works.

I think it happened when I changed from a Class 2 to Class 1 refinery with the same number of hoppers. So I changed to one with less temporarily and I think that has solved it.
