Jacques and Cartographics

Does anyone know if Jacques' station purchases cartographic data? It would be great for explorers who could stay near Jacques and explore surrounding areas as he travels through the galaxy.

I don't have an answer on that, but that could be something cool to introduce. I just wonder if it might cause too much competition in a small area to be worth while. Maybe not .. but would make things interesting none the less

And yes, i'm considering making Jaques station my home base at some point, following him around the universe.

Would be interesting to log in and find yourself at a whole new area. Guess if it did get too popular FD could always introduce more roaming stations following in Jacques footsteps so to speak. Introduction of one could be the prelude for colonisation or other game events...

Nope!
I went there last night, massive disappointment, there is NOTHING there! Not even a commodities market, let alone a black one..
If there is a point to Jacques then I have missed it!

I don't think Jaques has a market.

Also lore says it took Jaques in excess of thirty years making his station mobile, I wouldn't expect more stations like this

I guess it can only trade if there is a local resource to tap into - the station can't just "create" commodities from thin air.

More like Jaques has more time in his hands than the rest of us poor mortals.

unless there's another borderline immortal character who has secretly amassed a huge fortune, a station and the desire to fly said station through the Galaxy.

Really dude? It's a savior to explorers. Selling cartographics data and repairs is all explorers need. I could give a rip about a damn commodities market.
