Jacques Station: ED's Babylon 5 or Deep Space Nine?

For all we know FD is doing the Battlestar Gallactica thing where the bubble gets wiped out and we all have to exodus to the new bubble around Jaques.

It's neither. It's ED's sad mistake. We'll never get to experience what it was supposed to be since it was found before any of that content could be created.
I doubt that's the case.
If they really didn't want him to be found, they would have just left him out of the game, and continued on with a series of galnet articles.

Anyway, back to topic...(sorta)
If Quark is found out there giving missions, can i shoot him in the face??

For all we know FD is doing the Battlestar Gallactica thing where the bubble gets wiped out and we all have to exodus to the new bubble around Jaques.

That.....would explain the whole instant ship transportation thing. Assuming of course there are any active starbases in Bubble #1 left to transport our ships from.

Well, they _had_ an idea. Now all of that gets thrown out and they have to create a new idea. As evidenced by all the existing content surrounding his disappearance and mis-jump getting quietly ignored and forgotten about.

Depending on which definition of hyperspace travel FD is going by currently, everytime you jump you're basically creating a wormhole. Other than that, they dont exist naturally in the Elite Universe. Or at least haven't yet.

I think Jaques, himself, intended the station to be like the restaurant at the end of the universe in hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. Only instead it would be a bar.
I'm still standing firm in my opinion that they didn't abandon an idea that they had.

1. Why drop Jaque back into the game letting him be findable and releasing clues to his whereabouts if they hadn't yet created this content you speak of? Did you expect aliens to be crawling around in the station? If there was some content or extra assets to put in the game, they would have created it and put it in the game rather than arbitrarily placing a regular station in to be found. Remember he had been missing for a few months (aka not actually placed in the game) then the messages started appearing.
2. If there was some story, what could it have possibly been that finding him would force them to abandon rather than adapt?
3. We know that he got pulled out (or dropped out) of hyperspace because of the UAs screwing with his drives, and that he made contact with them (or whatever it was). Presumably who/whatever he made contact with is the same as the entities Halsey had contact with in the SS1 crash. We still don't know anything more about her experience so why would Jaque's situation be any different?. Furthermore, Halsey since being released has gone on to say that she may have just imagined the whole thing. You don't think Jaque could have forgotten as well?
4. Didn't they say at Lavecon that they still have things in store for Jaque's story?

It's Babylon 4. It disappeared in mysteriously circumstances and turned up a long way away. Soon it will be used as a based against the Shadows Thargoids.
This.

B5 is probably the best show I've ever seen. Strip away the science fiction portion of show and it is still incredible. Fantastic story arc and writing (thank you, JMS), fantastic setting, fantastic acting.

PS - if you explore far enough on the edge of the Milky Way you will encounter the First Ones.;)
