today I tried to build a peafowl exhibit losely inspired by a japanese garden.
It is enclosed with wallpieces and I built a custom guest gate. I saw a similar method in a Mike Sheets video and wanted to give it a try. It works fantastic. You can just use ropes in the gateway, because the guest clip right through them, but the animals can't get past them. I tried to go for natural pathways with stepping stones and I like how that turned out.
The shelter (and centerpiece) in the middle is partly made with one way glass, so the animals can rest and won't get stressed out. It was a bit finicky to build but it works out great.
(the background looks a bit empty, because this is the only thing in the Zoo right now. I just started building it and thought peafowl would be a great starter animal)
