Jaques and the battle of Hell's Gate

This cyborg was once a Federal soldier and was captured during the battel of Hell's Gate. Can anybody provide me with some additional information or links to this event, knowing the year this occurred will be very helpful.

I knew the date once upon a time but have since forgotten, centuries ago so 2350 or so, before Thargoid first contact. I'll try and track it down or wait for Jaiotu who will have it on an index card in his rolodex. Few years back when he re-appeared I tried everything I could think of to get him to talk except he's not really there. I'd reasoned he was the only living thing around during some of the events.

Most of the open warfare between the Federation and Empire happened between 2320 and 2390. We can probably assume that this "Battle of Hell's Gate" happened sometime in there. I don't think it was ever established exactly where Hell's Gate is or was.
