I´m on Jaques Station. Why the fuss about it? No missions, no better outfitting. There is a rare and pretty good prices for some stuff they buy. That´s all.

every day it moves to a new solar system, if u stay docked with it youll explore the galaxy. At least thats the idea.

Here's a point where i'd wish i could have more than one CMDR. Would be cool to just pop in once a day, survey the system, dock. And maybe have a chat with Jaques.

If i was a betting man. I would say that this is in place for some future stuff. Maybe the preleude to discovering an Alien race when his station jumps into there home system.

Maybe it will get fleshed out some more when we have the ability to walk around stations. And like you say there will be missions.
Having a mobile station out in the depths of exploration will become useful to explorers who need to get some repairs without needing to go ALL the way back to civilized space.

i thought it only moved occasionally when the devs decide to move it. As like last time, it need a server update to do it, surely it would only be once a week at most during the maintenance update.
And "moves" are supposed to be stated on Galnet arn't they.

it uses a hyperspace drive not an FSD, I dont think we know the details of how far it can actually 'jump'

It can only moves on a server restart and no one has said it will move on every server restart, so at best once a week

Only moves once a week at the most during scheduled maintenance. No visual effects or leaving parties etc, nothing to distinguish it from a normal station really.

well it does change location, thats still pretty cool, but yeah, way to go building the game with support for the story content

Its cool they added him into the game, but his station is kinda dull at the moment. A rare that you can only have 1 ton of. No bulletin board. Limited trading options.

Hopefully they will add more content later.
