Don't even waste the time going there. There's no commodities market no shipyard no outfitting no board missions literally nothing except universal cartographics
Hi! Sorry, but that is incorrect. It has its own rare, and quite a lot of it. Jaques Still? Something like that. Turns anything into alcohol.
There's no "magic FSD" effect, as the station moves during the server downtime period when you can't be logged in anyway.
So you logout at 7:55am BST, log back in at 8:15am, and you're 35Ly away. That's awesome! I don't think it moves outside of a circle of 3 systems, maybe even just 2, but it's worth the trip for the "I've been there" and a hold full of a nice rare rare.The rare is called Jaques Quinentian Still and I've traded in it. Now I need to remember if I've done that trip on the Xbox or if it was only on the PC...

He and his station have been in game for quite some time. Galnet did a big thing on him a while back and since then his story has been put to bed.....or I suspect laid dormant as I also think (on a personal level) that him and his station may well be fixed into some story line soon.....Thargoids ??? who knows...seems strange that FD have not mentioned him and his station of late though.

I just popped over there on the PC version (I'm in bed with some evil virus, so can't move down to the Xbox. *sob* *sob* This laptop is utter mince!) It's got Munitions, Repairs, Outfitting and Commodities on the PC, and there was 13T of the Jaques Still waiting for me, to make my trip worthwhile (A-class Asp with a good scoop: 293Ly in 20 minutes!) Now I need to (a) get better, and (b) launch into the void in a B-class Cobra to see if the Xbox version is borked. Just because!
Yeah that must just be for pc then atm because this place didn't even have a refuel or rearm tab on xbox. Like I said I can easily get there if no one believes me and take a pic but I figured I'd try to let people know so they don't waste a massive journey for nothing
It must be different between the PC and Xbox clients then. I've got 13T of alcohol makin' machinery in my hold, and that's gotta come from a Commodities Market! Strange though. I know that anything "fixed" in ED isn't generated procedurally, but they must have missed some bits'n'bobs out of the beta galaxy. Booooo...

Abandon all hope... Well, like the ill-advised (wrong phrase, but who cares?) idiot that I purport to be, I headed off to Jaques. Exactly as everyone in this thread said:
1) No Commodity Market
2) No anything
3) It destroys your save game if you leave the game there, and you have to get Frontier to reset it.
So, be warned, there's nothing in Jaques Station for the 'umble Xbox One user other than a visit to the ticket office...
I was at one of these stations today .... I'll have to log back in and see which system I was at.
happened to me I lost 6.3 mil and got nothing back from fd.
Strange. They've always been mega quick and nice to me when I've raised issues before. I opened a support ticket about it this morning and had a response within 90 minutes. The first attempt to restore my CMDR data failed (Xbox Live was acting up which might explain it. My Tomb Raider save wouldn't load either at that time, and offered me "offline mode" with some barmy hex error code). I reported that, and they got back to me two hours later and managed to shift me to a local populated system around 30Ly "up" from Gliese 1269, where Jaques was situated last night. I even kept my exploration data, with two First Discovered just outside Gliese 1269. Of course I'm 30Ly away, so I could sell 'em immediately.
Did you raise a ticket at support.elitedangerous.com? I used "Stuck Commander" under "Technical Issues" as my report type, but if you've done a save wipe you might need to try "Lost Items"?
I tried to tell yall there was nothing there but noooooo body wants to listen lolol sorry that happened though I'm glad I didn't leave the game while in there
