Co-op of Independent Pilots [COIP] is a PC, ET based (UTC-4), roleplay squadron for commanders who are looking for a group to make the black a little less lonely. With aspirations of regularly scheduled events and branching out into Powerplay, BGS involvement, trading, mining, exploration, bounty hunting, combat (PVE and PVP), and anti-xeno.
The Co-op of Independent Pilots is a squadron of freelance pilots hoping to give a home to the homeless. Operating out of the Drake-Class Fleet Carrier, HMCS Anna Magdalena M1C-0CZ, COIP provides a group to make the black a little less lonely. Not officially associated with any Galactic Powers. It is an extension of the minor faction, Cooperation of Independent Pilots.
COIP is the perfect group for pilots who are jacks-of-all-trades. Getting involved in combat scenarios, anti-xeno initiatives, trading, mining, and exploration. Also, newly licensed pilots are always welcome to learn from those who are more experienced.
The RP of the squadron is mainly in-game but the discord server has channels dedicated to staying in-character and our missions are mainly driven by the background simulation. We have regular mission postings and are a small but active squadron looking for active members.
We have regular missions that help benefit the squadron and the minor faction we represent and try to cater those missions so that there is always something that appeals to the different pillars of play. I’m new to elite can I join?
Yes! We accept new pilots and seasoned veterans. Most of our members are relatively new pilots.
Do I need to own Odyssey to join and participate?
No, while Odyssey has split the squadron somewhat between those with the new update and those without the BGS which the missions are mostly driven by is shared across Horizons and Odyssey so you are still able to participate no matter the version you’re flying.
I don’t have a lot of experience with roleplay, can I join?
Of course! The only requirement is that you put in an effort with the RP and keep the in-character channels and squadron chat RP friendly.
