join faction have all your ships transferred to the capital home world

Hello all.,

I am sorry if this has been brought up already.

Question: YES or NO if you join a faction, should all of your ships be transferred to the capital home world?
 
I think they need a ship moving option that:
1) Costs money depending on gametime (see 2)
2) Takes gametime depending on jump range of ship and distance moved


Yes it is a problem that you have to battle your way to/from a parked ship if you didn't move it before you selected a faction. Can you defect and learn from the mistake and do it right 2nd time around in a (reasonably safe manner*) - Yes.

*Just watch out for those pesky assassins.

It'd be a good thing to happen but at the moment it doesn't.

If anyone is planning to join a faction move your ships NOW before release, as it'll cost you more come 1.3.
 
I'm against this personally... maybe bring in employable crews that can fly a ship to another station but put a time restriction of so many hours or days on this, and then the cost of having to pay the crew. However make crews hard to find and employ. I'm against all the MMO style things that make games easier like fast travel, starting with a high level character and buffing my uber crit! I like games that are hard, punish mistakes and make you work.
