Summary
System: Many
Station: Several (see description for details)
Objective: Fight for Sirius Corporation in Power Conflict Zones
Time limit: 17th July 3311 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
Sirius Corporation, backed by Li Yong-Rui, has initiated a campaign to push back Imperial military influence and assert a model of corporate self-governance in the region.
Claiming to act in the interests of local populations, Yong-Rui's forces seek to replace Federal and Imperial oversight with independent commercial administration akin to Sirius Gov subsidiaries.
Pilots may contribute to this initiative by first signing up and then destroying Aisling Duval aligned vessels at Power Conflict Zones.
Power conflict zones may be found at the front lines of Li Yong-Rui's attack:
  • Gondul - Bessel Landing, Fiorilla Dock, the Obsidian Directive
  • Daikulcandi - Krenkel Station
  • Rho Tucanae - Lewis Survey
Note that no fire zones will not be enforced at these locations, although firing directly at stations will still result in a robust response.
Pilots who register at least 1 contribution will receive the following rewards, regardless of which side wins:
  • 1x (2x for top 75% and above) of each 1E/3C Gimballed Fragment Cannons, pre-engineered with Double shot and High capacity modifications.
  • Credits, depending on success tier achieved and individual contribution level.

    Stat breakdown:
    Burst rate of fire +1400%
    Burst size +2
    Reload time -50%
    Maximum range -10%
    Clip size +8
    Ammo capacity +68%
    Power draw +20%
    Mass +60%

The Screening Shell Experimental will also be included.
If Li Yong-Rui emerges victorious, those who are specifically pledged to Li Yong-Rui will also receive:
  • 40,000 merits
  • Li Powerplay banner cockpit customisation
Yong-Rui's forces have set out a two-week long operation to establish their authority, which begins on the 3rd of July 3311.
To be eligible for rewards, Pilots must sign up as an active participant before destroying Aisling Duval aligned vessels at Power Conflict Zones.
This is a competitive initiative. You may only sign up for one side at a time. You may switch sides by abandoning the goal, but note that any existing contributions will be forfeited.
Commander power pledges will be taken as the pledged power at the time of initiative completion.
Contributions will update at an interval of approximately 5 minutes.
Notes:
  • Competing with Asling Duval & Jermoe Archer CGs
  • Sign up anywhere, kills automatically tracked, nothing to hand in

interesting, it is good that FD are fiddling with the CG mechanics...... that said i think this could be a loss for LYR which will mean i wont get the decal, however i shall give it a go at least.
are there any ground CGs for this one or is it ship only (i really do not like the CZ bullet sponges)

Ship only this time, it seems. Each round, at least in medium Power CZs, lasts for a fair bit, so remember to keep materials for ammo synthesis handy, depending on ship build.

NO!!! How dare you!

Next CG need to be LiYongRui vs Pranav Antal, our personal fight (and I accept LYR vs Kaine, you deserve it).

Dont turn your back on us...

1E and 3C, huh? Small fixed and large turreted? Somewhat perplexing choices.

Never mind! Misread.

They are both gimballed according to the CG description.

The classification of fragment cannons is a bit weird.
The small ones are all 1E (fixed, gimballed and turreted).
Medium is 2A for fixed and 2D for gimballed and turreted.
Large are all 3C.

You'd crush both Antal and Kaine easily (and quite possibly even an Antal-Kaine coalition too) and everyone knows it.

You can have a CG where you actually have to work to win it because you're up against opponents in your own weight class. :)

Torval vs Winters is probably the next obvious one, though it'll probably result in Torval getting squished. Completely ideologically opposed there, but most players aren't going to be any bigger a fan of her than Delaine, despite the fact she actually has a very interesting and more ethically justifiable ethos than him, a fact most people don't recognize.

Both Powers also have the two most useless powerplay modules in the game, though Torval is probably a little worse off there, too. The Pulse Disruptor at least has SOME niche uses. I think, maybe, the most ironic of which being piracy. Correct me if I'm wrong, but shooting a cargo bay with a pulse disruptor should cause it to malfunction and eject cargo, even without a hatch breaker, right?

am I missing something? I thought all the powers offered all the gear now. Are you saying there are still unique power specific items?

not necessarily true. the last CG had ground CZs which counted. i take your point that perhaps it is not the norm however
I mean that Power Play CZs don't even exist on the ground. They were not added with Odyssey and were not added with Powerplay 2.0. If FDev added new gameplay for that, that would be news.

The last CG was a BGS war with PP CG dressing, this one is actually a PP war. There is new functionality in that the CG can now count PPCZ activities. But PPCZs only exist in space.

Yeah. The effect doesn't stack with itself and with scramble spectrum, and you actually have to hit those modules that you're targeting. And they're fixed.

do any of the locations have rearm? bessel landing doesn't.
thanks.
yes, some of the of the stations do have rearm, some don't. Those Mega Ships do have for sure. And you can store ships on the Mega Ships, which is quite convenient in case you want to change ships once in a while or have a ship transferred from further away...

forgot to mention: Those Mega Ships do have large landing pads as well...

Well, no, but they're still themed choices. You know, Torval gets the lance first, winters gets the disruptor, etc.
The lance is indeed completely obsolete. It was never any good for combat, and as a mining laser the tech broker one is better in every way.
