The URL requirement for posting images is stupid, yup, I said it... and that is the way I feel about this requirement, having to sign up for an account to an outside site to post a picture taken in game here is mindbogglingly stupid.

Some forums don't allow posting of pictures at all. I don't see the need for being peeved at all.

We don't have "unlimited storage" on the forums. Additionally, our forum software isn't optimized to be an image host on top of a discussion board. There's dedicated websites such as imgur.com that can fill the void.

Sorry for the issues you're having with such.

Just to clarify, you don't need to register at imgur to post images there and link to them.

It is really quite a simple way to avoid people uploading various images to their server and taking up a significant amount of space as well as having to manage the images, for very little reason when there now a days with free image hosting sites.

I recommend imgur.
Works well and isn't much trouble once you are signed up.

Yes, I have now uploaded via Imgur and I do feel that pinkish tinge subsiding from when things were explained to my by Brett and reaffirmed by others!

I wholeheartedly apologise for disrespecting ED Forums.

btw I don't think you even need to sign in or even sign up to Imgur to use it... thank you Imgur. (as Para Handy pointed out)
