Journey to the Center of The Galaxy

I am planning a extended exploration trip to the center of the galaxy and am wondering if anyone has been there before and if they encountered anything that I should look out for. Any advice or tips from fellow explores is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It has been done a few times before. I understand that the devs have been playing around with what is there and how it is shown so any info from past trips is likely out of date... not that i know what it was anyway, but good luck out there.
