Ok, opinion on the

Mad Catz Cyborg F.L.Y.5 FLY 5 Flight Stick PC USB Joystick
vs
Thrustmaster T16000M

remember: must be left handed and no keyboard (yes: using voiceAttack)

Note: The Mad Catz is cheaper and that is always a BIG decider)

Do NOT get the FLY5. It's adaptable yes, but that comes to a price, and that price is that parts are just loose, it's like playing with a banana instead of a joystick.

T.Flight X. Robust and does exactly what it says on the tin. My only issue is not having enough hat switches for lateral thrust and/or head look. Unfortunately the only hat switch is digital, not analogue. Like other hotas setups, It can also take up a lot of space, with the throttle and stick being detachable. Otherwise, a pretty good piece of kit for the price of £45 (I got mine from Maplin, and it is the same price as the FLY 5 at PC World).

*EDIT: It's only available in a right-handed set up, so probably unsuitable.

Just a note:

on ebay there is 25£ (and less used) for the Mad Catz / 35£ for the T16000 (and less used)

Or get the T16000m for £35 new from here! (I've bought from CCL a few times, they're reliable and good customer service)

I haven't used the Catz but the T16000m is really, really good joystick for the price.

The only thing which isn't good on it are the base buttons, which just don't feel nice and are oddly set out.
The important bits, ie. the stick and buttons on it, feel good and precise and with voice attack and button combinations possible in ED settings you won't need to touch the base anyway.

"Oh baby, touch my base buttons" ?
hehehe... I will have to not eat several days in the next 2 months to afford it... but I think it will greatly improve my game play. And judging by the so far total response, the T16000m seems worth it.
