Hardware & Technical Joystick/HOTAS Chair Mounts

Hey CMDRs,

I am Olsen. Some of you may know me by the joystick table mounts I developed with the help from mainly the Star Citizen and DCS community.
What is definitely lacking is some input from the ED community. I don't want this thread to be just an ad but a place for some valuable feedback.

Over the last few months we have developed a Joystick/HOTAS chair mounting system.

The mounts make it possible to attach a HOTAS system directly to a gaming chair. Of course there are many DIY solutions for that but our goal was to make a mount that is compatible with as many chairs as possible, easy to attach/detach and be super strong and sturdy.

Currently supported chairs (will extend in the near future):

- DXRacer
- Maxnomic / NEEDforSEAT
- Secretlab

Here are a few pictures with a Maxnomic chair and a T16000FCS setup. Of course they are also available for every other joystick and throttle.

Hope you like it. If you have questions just ask. :)

I like your mounts and have taken the liberty to essentially copy your table mounts by means of a DIY solution. Thanks a lot for the idea! ;) Since I want to be able to stow everything away quickly, attaching such mounts to the chair would be out of question for me, but I've still had to do slight modifications to my Ikea Markus chair using aluminium extrusions. Maybe you could do something similar in order to expand the types of chairs supported by your chair mounts?

The armrests are attached by default using to M8 screws each. I've fixed a 300mm 20x40 aluminium extrusion to where the armrests would be with two holes drilled through the middle. The original armrests are then attached to the extrusions in a slightly set back position using M8 nuts. At least in theory, this or a similar construction attaching to where the armrests are normally fixed could be used to mount HOTAS holders to a Markus chair as well.

Just an idea if there's any demand to offer an option for the Ikea chair. Granted, your mounts would be nearly as expensive as the chair, but then again, they're about as expensive as the Thrustmasters T16000M/TWCS HOTAS you're using on the promo fotos as well. :D

Nice stuff Meisterolsen!

As a, erm... "suggestion", how about a centre mount HOTAS sticks? Apart form going down well with the plane sim folk, this allows the use of extensions for the higher end sticks, which increases precision greatly.

Just a thought (because I'm working on my own version of this, and if one existed, I'd probably just buy it).

Nice solution for the IKEA Markus, we have actually gotten quite some requests for that exact chair. We have one ordered for prototyping. :)
Our chair mounts are actually very quickly removed. At the moment you still need a hexkey but we are trying to find a fitting leverscrews and will include them soon.

A center mount is planned. Not as easy so make compatible with a lot of chairs so we need to do quite a bit of r&d.

Great stuff, i've got a Secretlab Titan chair and need something like this pronto. How is your development going in that direction?
