Joystick / HOTAS recommendation

As well as my chpro throttle and t16000m, I use an old Logitech rumblepad as the Srv controller. Can't seem to use the joystick throttle to drive, the pad seems more easy to control

This is fascinating Z - you must let us know how it goes, as I a very intrigued with it!! I sometimes fall into making these ideas in my head or with a 2B pencil, but never end up getting round to making them or even starting on the actual 'building' part of the process, but maybe that is just me :/ [or a lack of disposable income for most of the time! It has been a year I imagine to save up the cash to get he new HTOAS btw :(]

The Hat :)

I do have a bit of an advantage here... I own my own business, and tools are tax deductions. Just about any tool I buy can be used for my work in one way or another, so you see where this is going. I suspect lack of disposable income affects most of us - I got lucky with my Warthog setup, I got it second hand form someone that bought it, trie dit once, and decided he didn't want to play flight sims. I got a 50% discount on a 16 hour old (in use) Warthog that was about 2 weeks old... There are some bargains out there.

Anyway, it'll be a little while before I start on the project properly, we're still renovating, and the kitchen/bedroom both need to be finished before I am allowed to start on my "toys"....

It's also how I got my Oculus, 6600K, Asus Gene 8... I always wonder why more people don't buy second hand. you'd be amazed how many people have been selling perfectly awesome GTX 1080's because they want a 1080Ti. Though, in Aus our consumer law states that warranty is transferable, so I guess we have that advantage.

I've priced up some of that T-slotted aluminium. It's about $AU300 (just over $US200) for a 6m length. Pricey if you're only doing one, so it makes sense to just buy form Monstertech, however, if you have a few friends willing to pitch in, it becomes quite affordable... then you just need a 4" grinder with the right wheel and a drop saw attachment, or a chop saw with the right blade, and all is good. Then it comes down to knowing how to measure things...

Anyways, I'm getting very excited about my Mongoos T-50. Due to arrive very Soon™... Will take my camera and macro lens back to Aus to get shots. Perhaps even my old 50mm OM F1.4 lens for that "cool early 80's fighter pilot" look...

On a side note, anyone got any experience with putting together Youtube vids? What is good and "free" (or cheap) to use to stick a video together? Probably worth comparing to my Warthog as a video review...
