Joystick question

I currently use an Xbox one controller but someone near me is selling a logitech 3d pro joystick for cheap. Does anyone know if I can use this joystick and my keyboard for Elite? Thank you for any help.

I think it's all the clicking sounds. It's hard to tell with all the buttons an levers, but I do believe it's the clicking.
