Hardware & Technical Joystick Suckers

I always assumed that all these HOTAS setups had suckers on the bottom, but were just air brushed out for advertising purposes, but it seems not.

Do any of the popular HOTAS sticks come with suckers ?

I am a real jerker, a total yanker, if there no suckers, I will end up on my back with my stick in my hand. The missus would go made if I screwed anything to the dining table. (sorry about the DE, it just came out like that, oh god STOP IT)

<Serious Question>

X52 Pro comes with suckers, but I wouldn't rely on them.
They don't hold at all on my wooden table.
Good thing is it comes with pre-drilled holes for fixed mounting.

X55 doesn't have any. I find using "magic sticky pad" Anti-slip mats for cell phones works well at keeping the units in place. (and since they are a euro a piece they're not really much of an investment)

I use a games pro HOTAS that doesn't have suckers, and like you every now and again they move. Suckers are only useful really on glass and stainless steel. You can use anti slip matting which will help, or screw them to a board.
I am not sure your post could have been put any other way. Finnbar Saunders would be proud!!

Rep given for making me howl. Well done.

An appropriately-sized c-clamp from the hardware store might do the trick.

My Warthog is fairly heavy and doesn't move around that much (except when interdicted by a CMDR and having a oh sh2$ moment!)

Hmmm. Slippage isnt really my concern, leverage is. Its been donkeys years since I used a Joystick, but I know I would sometimes even pull the suckers off

I have a Warthog which comes with a Russian weightlifter to move it around for me.
It does have a metal plate that allows it to be screwed down

CH Products set doesn't have suckers either. Stick and throttle are so light to move and the bases are so wide that they stay still very well without them.

Is the missus OK with stick-on velcro pads? Suction caps are finicky, and that's if you can get them securely attached to your HOTAS.

X52 has removable suckers. But the spring force is so low, and the bases so wide, that they really aren't necessary. The rubber feet do the job fine, and the whole shebang is nice and sturdy

I bought some adhesive heavy duty Velcro strips for my X-52.

Stuck the fluffy part on my desk and the other side on the bottom of my throttle and stick, works a treat.
Although I have to use something like a spoon to prise the damn things off after I'm done playing as it's so strong :D

I used blutac, suction cups (hardware store sells them) then heavy duty outdoor hook and loop type velcro for a while. Then I bought a new desk. Cheap but looks nice, basically particle board with some kind of laminate skin made to look like traditional wood. Absolutely nothing would stick my HOTAS to the desk.

The only thing that stuck was Scotch restickable strips.

They are supposed to be light duty but just two strips on each unit holds it down really well. You could have 4+ on most sticks. Comes off clean and really is reuseable. Just need to wipe down your desk remmove dust, fibers, crumbs etc if you want the adhesive to last a long time.

Works great for me and I can clear my desk. Velcro was a bit annoying because the velcro strips got in the way.

Looks like they do 3x5 inch sheets too. Which might be ideal.

I use a couple of slabs of blutac. Always used a couple of slabs of blutac. If you use big enough slabs of blutac and plenty of pressure for it to properly adhere you almost need a crow bar to break the seal.
But use slabs, not little rubber feet sized balls.
