Newcomer / Intro Joystick vs PS4 controller

J have found my old Freedom 2.4 cordless joystick, but its not hooked up yet since it clearly needs new batteries..
Will it be enuf to replace the controller, and is it easier to fly with joystick instead of gamepad?

and more important.. is it supported, since its rly rly old

that joystick is not old

that being said, it will blow the doors off the ps4 controller.

its a fine stick.

then you will get addicted and want hotas.

No reason for it not to work, one of the reviews says it works with win 7.

Just be sure not to run out of battery power at a critical moment, that would be very unfortunate!

Its 13 years old i think

I kinda consider that old hehehe

lol^, how old is the logitech extreme 3d im using then? gotta be about the same age..wow time flies.

i consider anything pre USB as old.

imagine trying to hook up a gameport to a x99 rig haha

hehe yeah, that would be kinda rough..

Managed to set up some on the joystick, but think i would need to bring out my BT keyboard as well since i cant fit all needed keybinds on the stick. But was nice flying with just one hand

managed to get some illegal blueprints for the first time and actually get away with selling them. Much easier to controll with stick than pad. thats for sure

exactly the issue i have too. these joysticks are super basic but very comfy and a decent twist/general feel.

so google "voice attack"
you can try the trial, but its only 8$ and its the best money ive spent in a while.

you can then bind everything to your voice and have some hot computer voice chick speak to you.

but it recognizes everything, like wholey crap does it work well..

"switch fire groups" and she says "next fire group" back to you or "fire group 2" or whatever you want her to say. it rocks

You can also use glovepie for voice control. The setuo is a lot more involved though - you'll need to program it yourself or adapt one of the scripts out there.
