Jstick and VA conflict and do i need a new JStick?

Thanks for this. I have done this my problem is in the binds file VA drops in the binds you create that all good VA works but the JS which is logetech pro extreme and the profile attache to it does not want to work when you have the VA file in with the js binds. So to make the js profile binds work i have to get rid of the VA file usually reads hcs v 3.o etc 4.o. then my joystck works but you loose VA profile by removing them. Unless you pick the Joystick that the hcs customiser has provided. I just cant find a solution? Except to buy a JS on the list in the customiser?

soz havent the foggiest when it comes to hcs voicepacks or bindfiles it may provide and weather they themselves need patching after update 12
but using windows control panel devices and printers right click game controller device goto its game controller setting then properties then test function should tell you weather your stick is ok or any other flight game really
I use voice attack np but I created my own voicepack and commands
va only presses keys and plays sounds as I have it setup it just so happens to press the keys I want in game otherwise it has nothing to do with the game itself
eg "I say "fire missiles" reponse " missile away" sound sample from harm missile played and fire button pressed on device or keyboard
if I had a notepad text open instead of ed it would just type letters if commands were not sent directly to the game hard disk exe
I don't know how HCS use it soz

That makes no sense to me. HCS voicepacks don't give a flying f... what joystick you use (if any). Only keyboard presses are simulated by VA ( and hence by HCS packs). So in the game's control assigments page you can see there are two entries available for all button / keyboard inputs. HCS customiser can look at your binds file and it can then provide you a list of keyboard assigments that it needs to use but which are missing - it can also create a new binds file which adds those missing assignments.

So - what you need to do is load up your joystick's working binds - run customiser (protocol override customise my settings) then select the option you want (make binds file or list missing binds). Hey presto - you have working system.

it can also press a button on your controller if you want it too and if an advanced user steer the ship "split s"
as it can record your last set of maneuvers if setup to and repeat them with a word
(the best game enhancement software on the planet since sliced bread imo and I am talking any game you have and is not that difficult to learn to program)
looking forward to programming destroyer the u boat hunter on steam with samples from a very nice greyhound ;)
my submarine on silent hunter 4 already fully voice controlled "ahead flank" I am running silent and deep on that one;)(did not need to even programme responses on that title
the sense of realism and depth it can give to that old title like that is unparalleled and I programmed that in just a couple of hours
hell I might even take on voice controlling the fss bladerunner search style lol

It can be confusing. As Para Handy stated above, if you are using HCS voiceattack, in ED you select which profile you want to use first, then in the HCS Singularity Setup, Keybind Creator will pull your setup you have selected in ED, modify it to be compatible with HCS, and create a new profile with HCS in front of it. Go back into ED, and select the new HCS profile.

YES I THINK I HAVE it thanks to all the fine advise .. my error was to not change 1 item in the setup in options controls ED .. when I change 1 minor thing it then goes to custom and you can rename and do all of the above. Its working now thankyou everyone

AS they say the devils in the detail .. but hey all sorted . Awesome Ethelred ... I still might look at new Joystick iether TI6000M or X52 pro .. still deciding which.
