Judder in asteroid field hot spots?

I get bad judder with a 2080ti in asteroid hot spots , even on low settings, with a few other ships in the area. Is my CPU, a 6700k, struggling?

Any fixes other than buy a new CPU ?

edit: changed to 60hz refresh and it's much better, even on ultra settings.
