One of his reps recently said he'd keep his word. It's still strange though, I don't know how he can break US laws by not doing anything illegal where he was. It's like magic.
he's a bag. bet be won't go to the states.
if he does, the best "punishment" the US could do, is not charge him and extradite him back to Sweden. then if he's not charged there be can be extradited back to the uk to face charges if contempt of Court and maybe wasting police time.
it would show this whole circus has just been about JA trying to avoid responsibility.
don't take this as approval of the things leaked. the Manning videos in particular were "the right thing" and I'm glad she's going to be free, but WikiLeaks has lost it's way, no longer functioning as it should and JA must bear responsibility.

I take it you are aware that the first alleged victim took to twitter and posted that the best way to get revenge on a former lover is to claim that he you, a tweet she later deleted but it was screencapped by several people before that? Because really, we're talking about the alleged here.

this whole thing has been dragged out for years because JA has refused to cooperate. if he'd gone to Sweden to be questioned, the matter might have ended there with no charges. alternatively if he been charged and gone to court things like you mention would be part of the defence and get tested in court.
he is effectively hiding from due process. he says his reason is that he might be extradited to the US but the fact is he is still avoiding the Swedish authorities.
this isn't some tin pot banana republic we're talking about. Sweden is a developed democracy with a good record on the rule of law. the UK judiciary are considered independent and have judged that there is no reason for him not to be extradited.
bear in mind that if JA were to go to Sweden and then the US request Sweden extradite him he would have the full protection of the EU who are plenty big enough to stand up to the US.

Yeah, the problem with him is simple. Al trough he might be innocent in the charges against him, but for that, It's impossible to tell how many laws he broken, how many peoples he off with his actions. if he leaves the embassy, than he is done.

What you did not get, he is not trying to help, what he doing is do no good. He using the informations what he obtained illegally to his own ends, to further his own political agenda, and became the par of the world politics. JA And ES are no heroes just two political activists, whom simply want another world order than the current. And as it said? You can't be the resolution if you part of the problem.

I don't think the USA is safe for Assange with that uncouth orange headed monster in charge.
Trump admires Wikileaks and despite the media bias against him (because they have been complicit with corruption and ignored many stories) is against corruption. I wouldn't be surprised if Assange and Snowden are let off the hook.
