I've got 27lyr jump on my dropship in explorer setup. 20lyr in a trade setup and just under 19lyr on my loaded for bear setup. So if thats enough for you then yes it is fine.
I love my dropship! it's a bloody good multi role ship and can be a tough nut to crack as well but the jump range is the biggest let down IMO.

About 20ish is as good as it'll get with a decent 5A FSD spin on an armed trader build, I wouldn't chase 50% + spins as it'll take 5% (e.g. 48 - 53% optimal mass) to gain you 1 LY, just fit another fuel tank for long hauls
