JUMPDRIVE seems like a big reskin/rip off of Frontier Elite II

Came across this game thats currently early access on Steam at the moment whilst looking at space games on Youtube. Seems like a massive rip off of Elite II.

Same ui, same fonts, similar interface and you can even speed up and slow down time.

Players of the older games will know exactly what I mean!

Isn't this the game that was a fork of Pioneer? The artist formerly known as Paragon?

It's based on the Pioneer engine, which would explain the similarities to Frontier.

Every FPS has been a "rip-off" of DOOM. They called them "DOOM clones" during the 90s, before the more generic term was coined.

Amem to that!

In fact the game is no longer in early access, was simply released and abandoned incomplete. It's a shame, because watching some videos of it, has much more content than the ED.

More games should rip off FE2!

I'm not sure what Jumpdrive has that Pioneer hasn't, though, other than 3D cockpits. Those aren't much good if you can't look around them in VR. I would pay for an FE2 clone with VR support!
