Jumped by an NPC pirate in the Pleiades Sector

Well.. This is a new one on me..

There I was, surveying barnacles (this only happened once over the course of scanning 20+ barnacles over two sessions) and I nearly dropped my biscuits when I heard the "scan detected" warning. I was carrying 8 MA at the time. So.. Normal now or a bug?

Seems like with 2.1 NPC pirates will pop up also in uninhabited systems outside the bubble. According to what I've read, this also might have been possible before.

How far are you from Sol? anything upt 1000Ly you van get NPC's popping in, especially if you are hanging around.
