Jumped in and through a star

Jumped in and passed through a 'B' class star, well I think that's what happened. All I saw was a flicker of textures and polygons, then heard 'Fuel scoop engaged'.

As I got in to the system I was facing a back hole, and when I turned around 180 degrees, there was the 'B' star behind me, Very close.

If I did indeed go though a star when entering a system, I feel safer now, as I didn't blow up :)

Yep, nearly had to replace a chair and perfectly good set of trousers the first time it happened to me.......

Strange thing is that Shadowplay does not capture it on playback.

It does for me. Here's the Neutron star one. You get less than a second to spot where it is when you jump in..

I just jumped into a system where I flew through two stars -- one that was about 100ls out, then the second one that was about 6ls from the primary. Not sure what the odds are of lining up a jump that perfectly, but it's definitely the first time I've ever seen that happen.

Lol, so much this, fuel scoop engages, sparks start flying. In my case it broke my keyboard, or to be precise I was leaning back in the chair and moved so quickly to grab my Hotas (phnaar phnaar) that I knocked over a bottle of wine. Wine and keyboards do not mix well.

I'm not laughing. I'm not laughing, I'm not.... <snort>

Ive had this happen to me twice, although nothing as heart pumping as a white dwarf or black hole binary. I figured it was just a fluke but I'm glad to see its a little more common, although no less scary.
