Although I really hope they can cough up some magic performance card based on polaris 10 my guess would be that they only can get a 390(x) replacement performance wise.
I doubt they can sell it lower than the vendor price of €245 I bought the 290 for 16 months ago - which would mean I do not see any significant performance/money upgrade anymore with AMD - screw that performance/watt - I don't need that efficiency for VR its just raw power.

Currently I bet more on the 1070 and likely will switch to green...

I know the performance/watt rating is attractive to server farms, but most gamers simply don't care that much about it. I have a 1200W PS in my rig and would use every last bit of it for a better gaming experience.
