Good idea this I think. Am not convinced space science is very well focussed at the moment or that endlessly searching for life on Mars is the best use of resources. Establish a colony there, on the moon too, but long term missions have surely got to be more about long term human survival in space for eventually leaving the Earth, and about protecting it, for as long as possible in the meantime. Cassini type missions may provide 'interesting' science but photography trips aren't especially practical when it comes to looking forwards imo.
