Cohabitation Balance
- Added a Likes relationship between Hadrosaurid and Ceratopsids
- Added a Likes relationship between Ornithomimosaurids and Ceratopsids
- Ceratopsids can now cohabit with other Ceratopsids, with certain exceptions
- Triceratops can't cohabit with Styracosaurus, Torosaurus or Sinoceratops
- Torosaurus can't cohabit with Styracosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus or Sinoceratops
- Styracosaurus can't cohabit with Sinoceratops
- Sinoceratops can't cohabit with Pachyrhinosaurus
- Nasutoceratops can't cohabit with Chasmosaurus or Pentaceratops
- Chasmosaurus can't cohabit with Pentaceratops
Regarding the cohabitation in the non-Sandbox gameplay, I am shocked and disappointed to see that Torosaurus and Triceratops still not liking each other.
On one hand, it is convenient in the first level of Chaos Theory and certain levels of Challenge Mode that Triceratops and Pachyrhinosaurus can now cohabit sharing the same food that is ground fiber.
Like in
Jurassic World: Evolution 1, Triceratops can now cohabit with Pentaceratops, Nasutoceratops, and Chasmosaurus. Furthermore, Triceratops were seen lingering around with Nasutoceratops in
Jurassic World: Dominion.
In this game, Triceratops require Ground Fiber whereas Pentaceratops, Chasmosaurus, and Nasutoceratops require Ground Leaf.
As far as my research goes; in the United States, Nasutoceratops was discovered in Kaiparowits Formation in Utah and Pentaceratops was in Kirtland Formation in New Mexico. These two ceratopsians can now cohabit with Parasaurolophus as the fossils of that hadrosaur were discovered in those two dig sites. However, Parasaurolophus required Ground Nut.
Despite Chasmosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus, and Triceratops were discovered in Alberta of Canada; the specific dig sites differed:
- Chasmosaurus in Dinosaur Park Formation
- Pachyrhinosaurus in Horseshoe Canyon Formation
- Triceratops in Scollard Formation
Originally, Chasmosaurus and Edmontosaurus were not discovered in the same dig site.
Horseshoe Canyon Formation have remains of Edmontosaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus.
In the United States, Edmontosaurus and Triceratops were discovered in Laramie Formation in Colorado, Lance Formation in Wyoming, and the whole Hell Creek Formation (in Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota). In Canada, they were discovered in Frenchman Formation in Saskatchewan and Scollard Formation in Alberta.
Therefore, Edmontosaurus can be put together with Pachyrhinosaurus and Triceratops.
Struthiomimus can be put together with Chasmosaurus and Triceratops. However, Struthiomimus have the same food requirement as Chasmosaurus.
In Canada, Struthiomimus and Chasmosaurus were discovered in Dinosaur Park Formation in Alberta.
In the United States, Struthiomimus and Triceratops were discovered in Lance Formation in Wyoming and Hell Creek Formation in Montana.
