Hello Park Managers!

Welcome to a new Monthly Round-up for Jurassic World Evolution 2. We've had an incredibly busy month, with lots of exciting news and announcements, and the month has just flown by! Time to catch you all up on the latest from us here at Frontier.

Here's your round-up of what August had to offer!

News:

The biggest news of the month was, naturally, the game's release date! Jurassic World Evolution 2 launches on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, on 9 November, 2021! You can pre-order the game by heading to our website, and we have some amazing pre-order bonuses if you decide to pick up the game now. See the trailer below and read on for more information about the pre-order bonuses.

Pre-order now to get a unique set of amazing looking InGen skins for your Park Team vehicles. These vehicle skins are inspired by the thrilling scene in The Lost World: Jurassic Park where InGen's para-military team, led by big game hunter Roland Tembo, enter Isla Sorna in order to capture dinosaurs for Jurassic Park San Diego.

This pack comes with some beautiful extra content, from vehicle skins to dinosaurs and prehistoric reptiles, that will look absolutely stunning in your parks. Here's what you're getting if you pick up the Deluxe Edition.

  • 6x Amenity Building Signs, to adorn and embellish your shops and restaurants.
    • 3x Food Signs: Sushi, Carvery, and Waffles – Can you make a Sushi restaurant for Nature Lovers? How about a Waffle house for Adventure Seekers? You'll be good to go with these signs!
    • 2x Drink: Fruity, and Herbal Tea – Show your guests where to go for fruity drinks or herbal teas with these cute drink signs.
    • 1x Souvenir: Amber – Your guests will be delighted to take home a small piece of prehistory from the Sourvenir shops. The Amber sign will show them exactly where to pick it up.
  • 3x Dinosaur Protection Group Vehicle Skins - These vehicle skins are inspired by the organisation from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, established by Claire Dearing. The DPG is a non-profit organisation that focuses on the preservation of dinosaurs, advocating for their right as a species. Adorn your helicopters, Ranger vehicles, and MVUs with these gorgeous green and white skins and show the world that you're fighting for the protection and preservation of dinosaurs.

  • 5 Dinosaurs and prehistoric reptiles - If the 75+ dinosaurs and prehistoric reptiles in the base game aren't enough, you can get 5 more by buying the Jurassic World Evolution 2 Deluxe Edition, which includes 3 new dinosaurs, 1 new flying reptile, and 1 new marine reptile:
    • Huayangosaurus
    • Pachyrhinosaurus
    • Megalosaurus
    • Geosternbergia
    • Attenborosaurus
If you're interested in seeing our first live gameplay footage from Jurassic World Evolution 2, look no further than our Monthly Highlights stream for August. Lead Community Manager Tim Smith sat down with Game Director Rich Newbold and Executive Producer Adam Woods to play through a small part of the game. Expect lots of dinosaurs! Tim was also joined by Lead Animator Amy Hook and Head of Gameplay Andy Scott to talk all things animation and pack hunting. Together they give some insight into the development and animation process.

August also saw the release of three new Species Field Guide videos! The first released was for the Dimorphodon, a new flying reptile to Jurassic World Evolution 2. Make sure to keep them safe and comfortable in your Aviaries, or they might break out and start attacking guests! You can read all about them on our forums.

The Pteranodon made its debut in a Species Field Guide as well, with a brand new look and an impressive wingspan! They're also housed in your Aviaries and can be kept with a Dimorphodon, as long as the two species have enough room to create their respective territories. They're quite a majestic flier and are sure to look great in your parks. For more information, head over to the forums.

From two high fliers to a land based carnivore, the final Species Field Guide for August belonged to Qianzhousaurus. This distant cousin of the T. rex is known for its distinct and elongated snout, and helped prove a theory that long-snouted tyrannosauruses were a distinct species. You can also read more about it on our forums:

We're very excited to share all the different ways we've updated and improved the Guided Tours you can place inside your parks. To read the full breakdown of everything, look no further than our forums!

That's it for this Month's Round-up! We will see you again in August.
