This pack brings bioluminescent skins to each of the species alongside the formidable Indominus Rex and Indoraptor

You can purchase the Jurassic World Evolution 2: Secret Species Pack here.

The Secret Species Pack also releases alongside a small update, you can read the patch notes here.

"Friends at Mantah Corp"... that's an interesting way to put it...

Absolutely loving the Ankylodocus reskin... you took it from the worst of the worst to one of the best.

That Indominus lux skin looks amazing too! Sad only the Indo Brothers got them though.

Any content free updates planned soon please? Really missing the usual content free update this time
From the sound of it, Frontier has gone through a bit of trouble recently... we may have to temper our expectations a bit, particularly when it comes to freebies.

I'm very happy with the new species and update
I saw that they fixed several instability problems, I hope they fixed the square maps crashing and closing the game on consoles, this bug has been coming since the maps were released

From the sound of it, Frontier has gone through a bit of trouble recently... we may have to temper our expectations a bit, particularly when it comes to freebies.

Less "trouble", more like "2023 was profitable but profits were lower than in 2022, therefore gotta fire people". AKA corporative brainrot that is screwing over the industry in particular and society in general.

CMs, programmers, artists... people who actually work at Frontier rather than profiting from Frontier, those have our support.

Whatever the reason is for the lack of free content update it is still disappointing. Hope they bring back good communication from the first game when a small update came BUT they reassured the community something bigger was on the way

Barely any bugs fixed. Disappointing to see.

Other long standing bugs that I believe I've posted about before (have yet to hop in game to see if any of these have been fixed despite not being noted of):

JW Pteranodon patterns, except Rana and Papurana are broken, among several others (like Moros starving alongside other animals, despite plenty of feeders, keybindings not saving, etc, and features/QOL/etc that could improve the game, particularly for outside of Creative Sandbox):

Broken Dominion feathered skins:

Various bugged stats:

I think I posted this on the tracker (if not some of the above), but I can't remember, but I know 1997 Stegosaurus skin has broken eyes, when compared to its variant's various skins.

Variant's eyes for comparison:

Some more here as well (that I'm not sure if have been addressed by now, but worth mentioning just in case):

Also Utahraptor's wings had buggy rigging (such as when coming out of the hatchery or drinking). I hope that has been addressed.

Edit: It appears it has thankfully!

Edit: Someone has revealed the new icons for the Hybrids and uh, they are poorly done. This whole thing reeks of being unpolished (after watching numerous content creators early access videos on it), along with the recycled content, like the fact that the Ankylodocus still cannot fight, even though this was highly requested since its appearance in JWE's Secrets of Dr. Wu DLC (never mind folks asking for this feature since the release of JWE2), and numerous unpolished kill animations (partly from two ceratopsian hybrids being introduced, and ceratopsians as a whole lack kill animations, despite having them in JWE, but I'm pretty positive the Stegoceratops in JWE used its thagomizer, but doesn't here). Sure there's some quality skins, again the stellar redesigned model for Ankylodocus, and the socials are quite lovely (including the new and some reused ones for the hybrids interacting with their parent species, aside from the lack of interactions between Spinoceratops and Spinosaurus, and Spinoraptor and Spinosaurus), but I feel like that's really the meat of the pack.

All the more reason to wait for a sale. Like I'm really sorry there's been layoffs, and the remaining devs are probably rushed/forced to release this at this time, but this really needed time to be polished. This isn't a free gift, but a product being sold. I hope it can be rectified in a future update (as what happened with the lack of Gigantoraptor being able to hunt in Predator pack's initial release):

On one hand, I am very happy. I've been waiting for the return of hybrids since the beginning of JWE2. Additionally, the content is of high quality - skins, patterns (except for the overly pink lux patterns), animations, and even social animations with base species.

On the other hand, I have a certain distaste. The expansion feels like reheated leftovers with cheese and mushrooms added, and then called a new dish. It's not something new and surprising, just a plain remaster. The expansion could have included more hybrids: the Ultimasaurus, which would probably be the star of the evening or the Armargazinosaurus.
It's missing the "wow" effect.

Whew, my knuckles! I've been listing skin combos for all hybrids all evening, but I got them all, the two Indo Lux skins included. Spinoceratops has so many I liked to my surprise, I literally have twenty on my skin combo list: Six for Jurassic World (Angel and Rebel included), six for Jurassic Park, and eight for both dream parks!

It's not even an expansion pack. I don't get why people are calling it and other hypothetical ones like its style that. It's a 4+ species pack like plenty of JWE2's packs.

In the first game, Stegoceratops also used its tail in combat. Why not now? This bug needs to be fixed. A lot of dinosaur animations are missing that were in the first game.
Dear game developers! Please fix these bugs!!! And the bigger sauropods learn to fight or defend themselves. Let the flying reptiles walk, the Quetzalcoatlus fight predators.

species all look good, no question.
But again, like all other species dlc's there are not enough new fighting animations. The ceratopsians still have zero unique fighting animations and the ankylodocus is only prey like all the other sauropods. I mean, why it have a club on its tail if it doesn't used it.

No guys it hasn't been fixed yet so forget about square maps on consoles, I thought they would have finally fixed or alleviated this issue but Frontier doesn't care about console players
