The cohabitation system sucks
Which makes it so that the cohabitation preferences of various species in the game don't make any sense. They should've adopted a system like Planet Zoo where interspecies enrichment/cohabitation preferences are based on animals that a particular species would actually coexist with in the wild. For example, all the herbivores of the Hell Creek and Lance Formations should be comfortable being housed together. Same holds true for herbivores of the Morrison and related formations. The system they have now is so generic and illogical it boggles the mind. Carnivore, pterosaur, and marine creature cohabitation preferences are even more illogical when you really examine them. Point is, for your suggestions to work, the entire interspecies cohabitation system needs a complete or near-complete overhaul to reflect my statements above. Otherwise, it does not nor ever will work the way it should.
I still have bad news to bring up regarding the recent update, the official Germany challenge mode in Jurassic difficulty is still not working. The only remedy comes from major updates if they have the following.
Regarding the next DLC, it can be anything. If there are such DLCs, I would like to see the following. It is not just the Germany challenge mode in Jurassic difficulty, but also to attract more people to play the Custom Challenge.
Pterosaur-centric DLC
- Pteranodon liking Geosternbergia instead of being a one-sided relationship.
Cretaceous Herbivore DLC
- Homalocephale having similar cohabitation preferences as ornithomimids and hadrosaurs.
- Dracorex, Stygimoloch, Stegoceras (if added), Pachycephalosaurus, and stegosaurids have neutral relationship.
- Ornithomimids, hadrosaurs, and pachycephalosaurids can mutually cohabit.
- Dracorex, Stygimoloch, Stegoceras (if added), Pachycephalosaurus, and ceratopsids can mutually cohabit.
- Torosaurus and Triceratops can mutually cohabit
- Pentaceratops cannot cohabit with Pachyrhinosaurus, Styracosaurus, and Triceratops
Jurassic Species DLC
- Metriacanthosaurus and Allosaurus cannot mutually cohabit
- Huayangosaurus and Chungkingosaurus can mutually cohabit
- Camarasaurus, Diplodocus, Apatosaurus, and Brachiosaurus can mutually cohabit
