Does the game will have monthly/weekly updates after release especially on steam?

Nothing confirmed as of yet, however I'd expect patches at least for things they still can and want to improve. I have never played a game from Frontier to know how they handle DLC or stuff like this normally?

There will be updates, which will be delivered via Steams platform. It will be much like Elite Dangerous and Planet Coaster when it comes to updates, bug fixes, game features, and so forth.

As to how common the updates will be, that's something to be determined.

good to know. Can I assume that what is updated for Steam will also be updated for ps4?

Not only Steam, but I'm gonna guess there'll be updates for all platforms.
If there were some glitches or bugs on certain platform, it doesn't mean all other platforms need to be fixed.
