Jurassic World Global

So far, our locations are Isla Nublar and La Cinco Muertes (who the heck knows where Sanctuary is?) near Costa Rica, but maybe we should truly make it a Jurassic World. Crichton said there were plans for Japan and the Azores while the film sequel had San Diego. Anymore locations?

I'd rather have more maps on the current islands, tbh. They still feel too identical and tiny to have any more identical tiny maps abroad 🤔

In fact I was preparing a post about this topic and landscaping, I'll post it as soon as I can

But wouldn't having them abroad make them less identical to the ones we already have?

No, I don't think so. As the game currently is, there are many fundamental problems with maps and islands, and I don't really think implementing "new" islands or mainland areas would make any difference. Best proof: look at Sanctuary. It looks exactly the same as any other of the Five Deaths.

I'm just kind of confused because you're saying that you'd rather have more maps on the current islands, but are also complaining that they're all too similar (which I agree with). Sanctuary is a tropical island just like the Five Deaths, so of course it's going to look similar. Japan and San Diego are not tropical, and thus would look different. It would be a great opportunity to add in new ground textures and new types of trees for the forest brush.

“That’s right,” Regis said. “Primary ecology is deciduous rain forest. Rather different from the vegetation on the mainland, which is more classical rain forest. But this is a microclimate that only occurs at elevation, on the slopes of the northern hills. The majority of the island is tropical.”

And this only on Isla Nublar (novel canon)... all the Five Deaths have different geography and sizes that could allow for different ecosystems, particularly on the valleys they give us as maps. Really, what sense does it made to move for Azores or San Diego having so much space yet to use on these? They would likely be another Sanctuary: just the same as the maps we currently have. That's just part of the post I'm preparing.

I've had a look at the elevation of the islands before, basically all the highest points already have maps in those areas, with the only kind of high area available really being Matanceros North, which is pretty low by comparison. I was personally thinking maybe a sort of Arid type foliage might be possible and of course there's the Redwood forest of Sorna North.

Apart from that there could be a sort of Swamp/Mangrove forest (Maybe Sorna West?), but that really does seem to be the limits of the islands. There's also the matter of decreasing space to actually put maps (with potentially 3 other major DLCs on the way and therefore potentially 6 maps, with only 6 locations left I can think of), so other maps outside of the Five Deaths seems more likely, no matter how samey it is.
