Just a contest or a hint at the next dlc pack?

10/07/18 Just a random number or the date of the next pack?

Fabulous Frontier Funfair-Just a name for a contest or a hint?

The last two fall updates (Free fall update & Spooky) have been released at the end of September this would be close to that date.

As others have said I hope they continue the Vintage update with maybe a Country or State Fair atmosphere. More vintage rides, more food stalls, and Gondolas for transport, midway games.[happy]

I desperately hope they do some quality of life improvements (option to change all salaries at once for same type character), finish adding all the DLC rides to the scenario editor research tree, and it'd be great if they updated their own campaign scenarios to work with the DLC so stuff that shouldn't be in them (Back to the Future or Knight Rider) in the Fairy Tale scenarios etc.

Would also like to see them give us the option to change how much peeps are willing to pay for rides/goods when we make challenges. Or a global setting where they simply pay less for them all.

That date sounds reasonable for the next DLC. That would be about 3 months from the Vintage release. Each DLC has been about 3 months apart.

Except, in the U.K. They write the date differently. So that is actually, in "American " 07/10/18".
Which was....the release date?

Hate to be the bearer of disappointing news... but Bitter Jeweler is quite correct; in the UK the date format is day/month/year.

Bitter Jeweler & stuk71 thanks for pointing that out. [big grin]

Frontier Funfair still would be an awesome name for the next pack! ;) Please make it happen Frontier!

Most people don´t seem to want them too and they are happy if they get small free update and paid DLC... So you (me) can only hope, but I don´t see it coming anymore. Frontier doesn´t care.

I understand what you're saying, I'm disappointed about QoL, too. In two years there could have been done more to make the basics work / work better. So it does feel like it doesn't matter much to Frontier (even though some things have been improved).
On the other hand they repeatedly said they're listening and they care etc. People who went to the Frontier anniversary event last year said that after talking to the devs directly they had renewed faith in the team. So what I'm wondering is will the "we listen" ever translate into something more concrete? Because the "They don't care"- "Yes they do" debate can go on forever. And that is why I don't think it's worth arguing about it.

A little bit open communication could help. Even just acknowledging the issues and talking about what should be improved / what are priorities would be something to back up the statements Frontier made and is making. I think that's not just me. But really this is a different topic and there already is a thread in the OT forum about communication.

Ok, trying to keep this on topic: As release date I suspect sometime around Halloween or the anniversary date. Either way there will be more updates (paid DLC) and patches. So far the focus has been new content and there's no indication that's gonna change anytime soon. So not geting your hopes up for something different this time might be a good idea.

I think it might be actual hint to something new, although I think they hint it a bit too early?

I think it is pretty clear that the code is just the Vintage Pack in British/ European date format and nothing else. Frontier is British, the whole contest is in celebration of the recently released DLC; And that pack is supposed to be about funfairs, even though it didn't fully meet that potential.

I'm more interested in the fact that both tickets have the same (supposedly unique) code...meaning one of them is a counterfeit! Since we are looking for silly hints where none are anyway; Now, what could that mean? Counterfeit equals piracy, Will they finally remove Denuvo? Or more innocently...could the concept of duplication hint towards a sequel to either the game itself or one of the DLC packs? Probably none of that.

That means nothing, but they didn´t just bother with this detail. I wouldn´t look into this that much...

At first I was puzzled about what you were saying.. I was just thinking "hey that was the release date", and not some future date.. Then.. you americans and your backward way to do things. ;)

But I think we can be sure to get some kind of update by that time around, actually.

A Fun Fair type theme would be great to have for the next DLC. Adding more vintage rides and more food stalls. This new contest might be a hint what the next DLC would be.

My theory is that they won't do funfair. It is what this pack was for (in their eyes). Of course I want more. :D Much more. It is after all close to what the game should be.

But I am always open to see what they come up with! I do want them to do QOL stuff and new gameplay, but it is hard to justify to *sell* it.

10/7/18 is the release date of vintage.
In (most countries in) Europe it's first the day, then month...

EDIT:
Nevermind, it has been said before

But didn’t Sam or somebody say that this is only the beginning, that the crane games could lead to other games down the road? They need to do a carnival games DLC. And it’s possible they could make more vintage rides, there were vintage rides before this pack like the tilt a whirl, zipper, and zo-zo.
