Just a massive thank you

Thank you frontier.

I don't get to play much. Occasionally I binge and stay up late, but mostly I'm at work or in bed.

A few weeks ago I joined the distant worlds fleet and I'm managing to keep up. Just. However very early on i lost my srv. I didn't know at the time it was a bug. I just went to get a snack and came back to a dead buggy. I got mad a bit, but soon accepted that I'd do the journey without it. Many others had after all. Later on I read that if I raised a ticket I'd get warped back to buy a new one. "I won't bother them" I thought. But I'd miss out on all the surface fun. "That's fine" I thought. I won't have much time anyway.

Today I accidentally looked down while attempting to select my left hand menu and saw that my srv had been replaced.

Well thank you frontier for fixing this. Even without me asking. A lot of companies could learn a lot from you guys.

Really do appreciate this sort of thing :)

Respawning SRV's seems to be the norm, now.
I guess FD found a more practical solution to random SRV explosion in having them respawn, rather than teleporting the player to the bubble and back for restocking them.
I wonder if they always respawn, or if FD identified some circumstance and set respawn triggers. I'd rather not test it empirically this far from home, though.

Good luck with your new SRV!

I'm not an employee of FD incidentally:) However. It's too often we hear CMDRs bemoaning Elite Dangerous and it's refreshing to hear positivity and genuine gratitude. Glad you are sorted mate and I hope you have safe and eventful travels to BP.

They certainly respawn with everyone on DW. The Candy Crew Enduro Rally had nine commanders on the start line, six lost their SRV's. All were replaced. The racers knew they would be replaced otherwise they might not have taken part and driven like lunatics.

Wow. Lost one of my SRVs two weeks ago. And it's back. Woohoo!
(didn't lose it because of the bug)
