General / Off-Topic Just a thought

We all love ED here on consoles, I for one started with the GPP and spent hours and money playing and customising my ships. And yet I still feel second fiddle when it comes to pc owners. Many times have I seen freebies for Xmas and Christmas in the frontier stores. Only for pc though.
Check out the new beta live now. Only for pc owners. Now I'm not a of owner but I do know loads of of elite dangerous players. And all of them can't wait for this new star citizen game. And this got me thinking when this star citizen game finally launches. How many of owners will jump ship. And would the majority of Elite Dangerous players be now on the console. A platform that gets 2nd fiddle from the devs. I would love to beta elite but because I don't play on pc I can't.

As a former Star Citizen backer and imperator subscriber, I wouldn't go holding my breath for the release of SC any time in the next decade. I'm not sure if you're also aware, but SC will be a dedicated PC game at any rate. Current alpha releases of the game brought my custom built gaming rig to it's knees managing less than 20 FPS, was full of game breaking bugs which crashed the game to desktop every 10 minutes.

I gave up on SC after 4 years of watching CiG squander $200 million dollars due to sheer managerial incompetence and feature creep...along with £500 of my own money...and refunded, thankfully before they illegally closed the refund policy.

Beta testing E-D on the Xbox wouldn't really pay anyone any dividends, least of all FDev who would have to spend valuable dev resources for little benefit to the end product...as unfortunate as that sounds, it's a reality.
