Just about jumped out of my chair. lol

Yup, that happens occasionally...I know many explorers (including myself) who have entered a system travelling through a smaller star on the way to the main star (not good for heat)...correct me if I am wrong but I think FD fixed things so that can't happen any more.

Well, it should be fixed although ive seen the insides of a Star right after that Patch did hit the Liveservers.
Havent had that happen since tho. But as we know and love Elite, it has some hiccups every now and then. So i wouldnt be surprised if it still happens sometimes.

Jumped in between two stars and had to make a hasty retreat as the heat began to climb. I haven't passed through one star to reach the main body of a system since it was patched in 2.2 I think. :)

Yep, I went straight through a small Class M last week...on my way to a small firework display in the cockpit in front of its pair!

This happened to me yesterday. When I passed through the star, I nearly jumped out of my seat. I landed between a pair of stars which were very close to each other.

It was actually scary and reminded me that Elite really can be dangerous. Luckily, I managed to escape with relatively minor damage, but it was close. My ship console was sparking and smoking all over the place and the temperature actually exceeded the point where I have died in the past (in a different ship).

This just happened to me, so it hasn't been fixed. Fortunately, I have a heat sink launcher so I could dissipate the heat build up fairly quickly. I took a couple of screen shots showing how close the stars are together:

When I entered the system I flew through the star on the left (star B) towards the star on the right (star A).

It still happens

Had it happen a few times. Hit the heatsink launcher real fast. Minor damage.

Yes.. going through stars still happen, and it is as unpleasant as it ever was. Not even being in an Orca helps to make it less harrowing. :)

I stand corrected... :)
