Hi all, Don't mind getting beaten fair and square in any game! I'm the type who gets back up on his feet to try even harder next time. With ED, I am trying to trade my way up the rankings and for some reason I get branded 'wanted' and taken out by federal forces (maybe the wrong name ). I know I am not trading anything ilegal. This has happened to me twice now and I see no point in playing anymore until I find out why. Only with great reluctance will I give up on this because I have enjoyed most of my experience so far! Maybe I have stumbled upon a bug but that would seem very unlikely given the amount of testing ED has been through!

Did you try transporting stolen goods? (Goods floating in space are also classed as stolen)
Do you remember what you were doing when you received your wanted status?
You should go to a system with a station that allegiance does not belong to the Federation and pay off your bounty there. Dock > Contacts > Pilots federation > Pay off bounty/fine. This will stop your wanted status.
