Just an idea for a change from a Noob perspective:

After asking the question "What are the names of your ships and why?" I noticed a trend that many of you have multiple ships of the same make for different purposes, this seems to be a theme in the game and could be corrected by a simple change in "Storage Modules".

Example:
I have a T7 that I use to haul for missions to Federal Navel outpost to gain rank with them to unlock certain ships but I also use the T7 for mining. I store all the different modules and transfer them as needed for mission types. This is where most players it seems just buy another T7(or whatever) to not have to do this over and over but also because you will forget something(See it in many threads) you need in your storage locker.

Solution: If they allow for multipart lockers
with custom labels like "T7 Storage", "Diamondback Storage" ect... I think this would save a lot of problems with forgetting something on your new setup for the mission you just took before you get 300ly out and it would alleviate having several ships of the same make.

I'd rather it were a hotswap for the full ship loadout, for max QoL. If it's not swapping your kit for you as per a player-created custom loadout, it's still going to take you a while to manually swap out all the things even if they're in a single folder. Respec-style outfitting would be more helpful for people who are consistently multi-kitting a single hull.

I do think module storage needs more (any) filtering tools, but I see that as a separate issue.

I like the idea I was just thinking of what they might be willing to do for us- not sure they would go that far, never know though.

Yeah, in terms of effort, sorting the modules might be low impact.

Then again it's FD and stuff could be wired to anything in there. It took forever for FD to allow proper changes to HUD colours even with file hacking (and that's still the only way available), because the orange was baked into everything, including the entire UI and the dash holos' shed-light sources.
