Well actually there are two chairs in this thread but who's counting.
All this messing around got started last august when I got a x55 hotas and it was obvious that ergonomics really needed to be taken a look at.
These things are really huge and need to be placed somewhere else than table.
So I began my quest.
MK I
Off to the workshop with some 25x25 mm steel tube and 1 mm sheet metal.
Cutting & welding. x55 has mounting holes in all corners of it's frame so that sheet metal becomes quite sturdy with stick and throttle bolted on.
Finished L-shaped brackets and some fine adjustment duct tape. There is a piece sheet metal welded to that tube under there and the whole thing is held in place by same three bolts that connect the armrest to chair. Holes to make setup adjustable.
Everything in place.
And that's how I rolled for a couple of months... Until that P.o.S. chair was replaced with a bit less crappy one.
To be continued in next post with MK II.
